Thomas F. O'Neil 'Tom'

May 2, 1960 - November 24, 2025

Thomas Francis 'Tom' O'Neil, Age 65, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on November 24, 2025 in Fairport, NY.  Thomas spent most of his life residing in Brooksville, Florida and several years commuting back and forth North to South following that beautiful warm weather he loved.

The first born on May 2, 1960 to his late parents Charles P. passing also suddenly in 1992 and Kathleen A. O'Neil leaving this Earth 09.23.2025, he lovingly returned home to care for his Mother before her passing.  

Tom grew up in Pittsford attending St. John of Rochester elementary school and graduating from Pittsford Sutherland Class of 1979.  During his high school years he excelled at basketball and was Captain of the Team where he played Guard and Forward.  

Tom was a man of deep faith and in recent months found comfort attending morning Mass regularly at St. Jerome's Church in East Rochester, Pittsford Community Church on Marsh Rd and the East Rochester United Methodist Church.  Tom loved attending bible study and speaking to others about Recovery.  Tom also was defined by his love of all sports and in his youth loved playing golf, bowling and watching football, basketball, hockey and baseball.  Tom could tell you stats like no one else!  He was a steadfast fan of the Buffalo Bills, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and the Rochester Red Wings and Amerks Hockey Teams.  

He will be deeply missed by his brothers James (Debbie), John, and Daniel (Kathleen) O'Neil and sister Mary 'Molly' (Kenneth 'Lee') Kaye and his nephew Ty (Liz) and Nieces Paige (Josh), Ellen, Sarah O'Neil and Shannon and Kathryn Kaye.  Buffalo Bills game watching at the Underpass will never be the same without Tom.  

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 10 am - St. Jerome's Church, East Rochester, NY.  Interment to follow at White Haven Memorial Park - 210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford, NY 14534.
